Glass

Believe it or not, glass is made from liquid sand. You can make glass by heating ordinary sand (which is mostly made of silicon dioxide) until it melts and turns into a liquid. However, you won't find that happening on your local beach: sand melts at the incredibly high temperature of 1700°C.

More about glass

Glass recycling helps the environment. The amount of energy needed to melt recycled glass is considerably less than that needed to melt raw materials- to make new bottles, and jars. Recycling one bottle can save enough energy to power a television set for one, and a half hours.

Container Glass (Bottles, Jars, Etc.)

Container glass is a type of glass which results in the production of glass containers ( such as bottles, jars, drinkware, and bowls).<br.
Container glass stands in contrast to flat glass (used for windows, glass doors, transparent walls, windshields) as well as glass fiber (used for thermal insulation, in fiberglass composites, and optical communication).

There should be no product (liquids or solids) inside the containersIf separated by colours the price is higher- the lighter the colours the better the price.</br.

RECYCLES INTO:

Glass is virtually infinitely recyclable, and can become a new glass container with no loss in quality – thus conserving raw materials, and reducing energy consumption, and waste sent to landfills.
